Old Man Wendell's Ranch
About an hour's drive northwest of Gunnison. The Old Man has some money so the place was pretty nice. Wendell refused to leave and stayed there all winter, but finally gave up in April '56.
Waunita Hot Springs
Small town a couple of hours drive west of Gunnison, about half way to Pueblo. Before the war its claim to fame were its hot springs. Since the war there has been some contact and trade between Gunnison and Waunita. Sounds like things in Waunita aren't so rosey as in Gunnison.
